A 365 day art project… one drawing a day
From a tutorial by ElenaRogue on YouTube. This used my Daniel Smith watercolors, in my 400 series Strathmore watercolor journal. (Which is nearly full now!) A fun idea, and nicely uncomplicated.
A very simple concept using cotton or polyfil fiber, like for a stuffed animal, and cotton swabs bundled together. (I didn’t have any fluff, so used a cotton ball. In fact I didn’t even have a cotton BALL so had to fluff up a flat cosmetic cotton thingy…make do with what you have!!) A ten minute project start to finish… very fun and relaxing.
“A Simple Tree” tutorial by Peter Wooley. He actually shows two styles, both simple, and I tried both.
Then I tried the first one on a journal I’m sending out this week, theme:Green.
And finally I tried one on a washed background, which I like best of all. I even like my last attempt better than his that I originally copied, in some ways.
