A fairly quick sketch of Rainer. Note to self… confirm a pen is completely waterproof before painting over it…
A 365 day art project… one drawing a day
This evening I felt completely unmotivated. So I decided to just color in the sketch I liked best from two days ago. Actually… a little painting always feels nice.

Tried a masking fluid pen with good results.

Another Peter Sheeler tutorial. A few mistakes but I love following his tutorials. 🙂

It’s Ruby’s second chance, she has a brand new family loving her. AND her second chance here in my blog now that I have tried a second drawing… much better job and I’m quite pleased. I don’t want to repost yesterday’s flop (what was I thinking??) but here it is anyway. So you can see why I’m happier today. And why sometimes it is worth doing something more than once.
Best of luck, Ruby!!

I tried out some Noodler’s Heart of Darkness ink in a fountain pen they include with the bottle on a sort of zentangle-y cow sketch. I ordered it because I thought it was waterproof, or mostly waterproof, and was going to add color… but you can see what happened when I touched water to it. I’ll try letting some dry overnight and see if it still reacts the same way. I like the result, but I wanted a fountain pen I could use for my watercolor sketches. Oh well, back to Staedtler and uniball. They are great, so it’s all good. I just wanted to play around with line width a bit.
