These larger pictures with lots of wet layers I prefer to do on my Arches watercolor block… either 7×10 or 9×12. In fact I ADORE these blocks. Keep the pages absolutely flat however much water I use. The 7×10 block was $40 in Jerry’s (although I also get a 10% discount) and I found one (only ONE) on Amazon for $25! Score. Kind of.
